Full Time or Part Time Behavior Technician

for Applied Behavior Analysis, ABA Therapy

Strident Healthcare is seeking passionate individuals to work in the field of Autism Treatment! Start or grow your rewarding career as a Behavior Technician. As a Behavior Technician, you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals with developmental disabilities. ABA Technicians work closely with Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBA) to implement treatment plans for individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). Our BCBA’s are present daily, providing the highest quality supervision and support to staff. Strident Healthcare provides Center-Based and In-Home services throughout Oakland County, Wayne County, and Washtenaw County!

Behavior Technician Duties include:

  • Candidate must be able to perform applied behavior analysis (ABA) Therapy requirements as directed by the Applied Behavior Analyst and according to the BACB and all other pertinent compliance and regulatory agencies including but not limited to the State of Michigan Licensing, Local County agencies, and OSHSA.
  • Behavior Technician will as directed by the Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA);

Work with the BCBA to develop assessment and interventions based on assessment finds.

  • Works directly with the patient and/or family on the implementation of the behavior plan developed for the patient.
  • May travel to off-site locations.
  • Work closely with administration to complete all administrative requirements for organization development and billing.
  • Participate with scheduled supervision meetings.
  • Actively participate in safety training.
  • Provide supervision and oversight to subordinate staff including behavior technicians.
  • Maintain all required data and documentation.
  • Other duties may be assigned.

Required Skills

Must have experience in Applied Behavior Analysis principles, ABA Therapy and procedures, implementation of behavior intervention plans and data collection systems. CPR and First Aid trained is a plus. Must have strong positive, interpersonal skills with the ability to build effective relationships with patients, staff and families and possess highly effective oral and written communication skills. Must have the ability to analyze and interpret data, think creatively to solve problems, have highly effective time management and organizational skills. Must have proficient computer skills.

Minimum Qualifications

Must have graduated high school/GED bachelor's degree preferred and Registration as a Behavior Technician with the BACB.
