Description & Requirements: Install, configure, and support an organization's local area network (LAN), wide area network (WAN), and Internet systems or a segment of a network system. Monitor network to ensure network availability to all system users and may perform necessary maintenance to support network availability. May monitor and test Web site performance to ensure Web sites operate correctly and without interruption. May assist in network modeling, analysis, planning, and coordination between network and data communications hardware and software. May supervise computer user support specialists and computer network support specialists. May administer network security measures.
"Organizes and directs the configuration and operation of cloud information management systems. Provides day-to-day system administration of cloud systems to include system and resource optimization, and user assistance. Conducts capacity and performance analysis, and provides system configuration change and upgrade recommendations. Increases system administrator efficiency and accuracy via the use of automated tools and scripts, develops system administrator procedures, and conducts system administrator training and skills assessment. Determines computer user needs; analyzes cloud system capabilities and programming techniques and controls."
Duties:
· Configure and support cloud and virtual environments including AWS, Azure and VMware
· Maintain various operating systems in a variety of users and activities
· Apply cybersecurity knowledge to configure IT equipment to proper security standards
· Install, troubleshoot, and manage applications, systems, and networks
· Test systems and resolve security vulnerabilities
· Participate in the government's Risk Management Framework (RMF) to maintain system accreditation
· Determining appropriate IT policies, while creating and improving upon system documentation
· Interact with and assist customers from various parts of USCYBERCOM
· Help manage computers, servers, networks, IT security systems and other critical components of USCYBERCOM’s IT infrastructure
Location: Columbia, MD (Customer Site - CANX)
Requirements:
· Minimum five (5) years of experience as a System Integrator, Administrator, or Cybersecurity Role
· Minimum of Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university in IT, Cybersecurity, or related discipline
· Active CCSP Certification
· Active TS/SCI CI Polygraph
Preferred / Desired Skills:
· Exposure to AWS (Amazon Web Services), and/or STIGs/IAVA
· A problem solver who can get in, be given a project, and use engineering skills to determine a solution
· Has, or is willing to gain, more diverse IT skills, including Windows/Linux, networking, and more
· Able to build systems from the ground up – network architecture/systems engineering
· Any applicable certifications such as AWS Cloud Practitioner, and/or Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate (MCSA) 2012/2016
