MECHANICAL DESIGN ENGINEER
Based in San Leandro, CA this position requires minimum 2 two years of mechanical hardware design experience. BSME or higher degree is required. Knowledge of manufacturing processes for mechanical components is required. Ability to work in a fast paced environment and implement product specifications in a stage gate product development process is a must.
Job responsibilities will include
Creating drawings for assemblies and individual components
Assist in the Product design and development of new products
Incoming Quality control checks, testing and verification of components
Simulating products on applications
Simulating stress analysis of different material on the computer
Investigating and resolving any quality control issues,
Updating drawing files along with Bills of Materials
Conduct product testing
Assist in making proposals to existing product designs to improve or suit application requirements
Preparing appropriate project documentation, PPAP documents
Assist admin department with bill of materials and building parts/kits from components
Conducting product installation to check form, fit and function
Assist in checking product components against actual drawings,
Conducting internal testing of product components for reliability.
Creating simple jigs and fixtures for product testing.
Proficiency in Autocad and/or PRO Engineer is preferred.
