Steelite International America is Hiring a Demand Planner Near Youngstown, OH

Steelite International USA is seeking a Demand Planner to join the team! The Demand Planner is responsible for all forecasting activities at the divisional level for all customers and products within that division. This is not a remote position.

To be a successful candidate - strong communication, analytical, and Excel skills are a must.

What will I do as a Demand Planner?

  • Review historical sales trends, research demand drivers, prepare forecast data, develop statistical forecast models, and evaluate forecast results
  • Obtain and upload information to Forecast Pro, including historical sales, PIP, agreements, and NPI
  • Own Forecast Pro software and forecast accuracy therein
  • Forecast Pro (inputs, external, overrides [PIP, NPI, Agreements], modifiers, etc.)
  • Correct forecasts
  • OBSO parts with QOH
  • Communicate with Sales Service and Sales teams to validate forecast assumptions (won and lost business, one off purchases, seasonality, etc.)
  • Validate customer provided forecast compared to Forecast Pro
  • Lead respective monthly forecast review meetings, reviewing sales forecasts and risk and opportunities
  • Coordinate cross-functional research activities to reconcile significant variances and refine the forecast model to reflect updated sales and marketing assumptions
  • All other duties as assigned

What are the qualifications and skills?

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business, or equivalent business experience (Essential)
  • 5 years experience in demand planning (Essential)
  • APICS or other forecasting Certification (Desirable)
  • Knowledge and understanding of Microsoft Office Suite (including word, excel, outlook), ERP, MRP, Data Mining, numerical and analytical skills (Essential).
  • Great Plains/Microsoft AX ERP experience (Desirable)
  • Demonstrated knowledge of key demand planning concepts, methods and metrics, and the impact of the forecast on the supply chain and finance (Essential)
  • Demonstrated proficiency in statistics, and forecasting methods with an understanding of their financial and operational impacts (Essential)
  • Ability to sit and enter/analysis data for extended periods of time. Ability to twist, bend, kneel, reach, walk and squat throughout the work day. International and domestic travel.
