Qualifications:

• Must be adept at piano, a proficient sight reader, capable of improvisation, and skilled at accompanying
• Proficiency in performing of a wide range of music including classical, gospel, contemporary styles, and secular music
• Ability to reliably commute is a must
• Knowledge of piano repertoire is required
• A working knowledge of Episcopal liturgy and worship and a theological understanding of church music is desired
• Experience with organ is a plus
• The ability to communicate well and in a friendly manner with fellow staff members and the congregation is a must

Description:

St. Peter's Episcopal Church in Rialto, CA is seeking applicants for the part-time position of Pianist. The church has a small and developing music program. This position calls for the first and third Sunday of month with possible opportunities for additional Sundays as needed. There is extra pay for special holidays and services such as Christmas Eve mass, Good Friday, etc. Schedule is 10:45am-12:15pm, service starts at 11am. Organists will play for traditional liturgical service and accompany soloists. This position would start June 16.
