Salary Range: $47,000-$49,000USD

Job Description:

In this role, the employee oversees all aspects of international students’ assimilation into the educational and boarding programs with the purpose of aligning to the Core Values set forth at St. Bede Academy. Additionally, this employee coordinates communication between relevant stakeholders- in English and Chinese when necessary- to ensure consistent and appropriate messaging amongst all parties. The employee also facilitates greater integration for international students in to the St. Bede high school community.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree from U.S. educational institution required, Master’s Degree or higher preferred

Experience in teaching bilingual education

Experience in administration of bilingual education

Proficiency in Reading, Writing, and Speaking in Chinese (Mandarin) and English

Strong interpersonal communication skills

Strong aptitude in public speaking

Competency in social media and technology, including Word, Excel, Outlook

Duties/Responsibilities:

Facilitate international students’ visa applications and international travel

Coordinate daily procedures such as schedules, meals, extra-curricular activities, etc.

Schedule and document routine, urgent, and emergency health appointments

Coordinate and direct residential activities

Maintain and document boarding discipline

Develop programs to resolve conflicts amongst boarding students

Maintain open discourse with parents

Maintain open discourse with school faculty regarding students’ academic performance

Document/log parental communication regarding academic performance at regular intervals

Create informational updates about school programs for parents and community to access via various social media in English and Chinese

Communicate with classroom teachers on behalf of parents

Communicate parental concerns with school administration

Coordinate educational and social emotional interventions for at-risk students

Provide educational guidance for students

Provide post-secondary and career guidance (national and international) for students

Provide personal guidance to students using their native Chinese language

Perform tutoring for core academic classes
