-Provide appropriate supervision of youth at all times as directed by supervisor and policy and procedure.
-Teach home management skills-Topics may include : menu planning, cooking, cleaning and basic home maintenance.
-Provide situational training and counseling.
-Participate with the youth in positive leisure time activities and age appropriate social events in the community.
-Expose the youth to cultural and social values and models values that reinforce socially acceptable behaviors.
-Teach and model appropriate communication skills.
-Administer medications to youth as prescribed and enter all medication administration on a medication log.
-Utilize the Behavior Management System in the home.
-Address social living skills-including communication skills.
-Ensure safety and security of all youth.
-When on night shift, remains awake al all times, complete required bed checks and all other assigned duties.
-Take youth to scheduled medical and mental health appointments.
