What it’s all about:
This position is accountable for providing accurate and timely processing of applications from intake to close out. The incumbent provides various duties related to maintaining contact with external and internal parties to meet workflow deadlines. The position supports the entire Lead program through effective communication with both staff and clients.
What you’ll do on a daily basis:
This position performs various administrative, research, and customer service functions for the LeadSafe Homes Program at RIHousing. Since this position is not routine, the incumbent must be flexible, well-organized, and able to set priorities and work independently to complete assigned projects. They project a positive corporate image through professional and courteous contact with all constituencies.
A major focus of this position is to provide accurate and timely processing of applications and administrative support for the Lead Program by providing customer service for all program inquiries, explicitly focusing on HUD-eligible grant applications. The position supports the entire Lead Program through effective communication with staff and clients. Duties include analysis of applicant submissions, verifying essential documentation and initial underwriting determination, and educating tenants and homeowners about the Lead Program.
This role is essential in ensuring RIHousing's Lead Program has quality submissions for underwriting and that the program makes decisions based on a properly documented application and corresponding documentation in alignment with HUD grant guidelines.
This position communicates and interacts with applicants to answer questions on the qualification process and promotes the lead program.
The Relocation Specialist will also coordinate, track, and manage applicant relocation. This requires coordinating hotel reservations with multiple parties, managing and tracking relocation and food stipends for displaced families, and reconciling and processing associated credit card receipts and forms.
Based on the incumbent's area of expertise and experience level, they also perform specialized technical functions as assigned. These may include but are not limited to additional administrative compliance tasks and quality control tasks.
