Wise F&I delivers industry-leading administration services for automotive F&I-related, voluntary protection products such as VSC, Appearance, Tire & Wheel, Key Replacement, GAP and Theft-deterrent protection. We process and adjust claims for these contracts within programs that are underwritten by only Excellent (A- or better) rated Insurance Carriers. As a rapidly growing automotive F&I product provider with over 30 years of continuous operation in the Automotive F&I space, our operating partners include seasoned Insurance Agents, national Lenders and their client Automotive Dealers.

Primary Job Function: Responsibilities include investigating, evaluating and settling claims in a timely manner with minimal supervision. This includes the investigation, determination and evaluation of contractual coverage, liability and/or loss. Depending on the contractual coverage, additional responsibilities may include evaluation of damages, required repair(s) or determining the proper GAP settlement as applicable.

Job Duties & Responsibilities

  • Exercising proper judgment and decision making to analyze the claim exposure, to determine the proper course of action and to appropriately settle each claim.
  • Interacting with various parties including the contract holder, lender, automotive dealer or repair technician involved in the claim process.
  • Able to clearly communicate action plans that move the claim to its conclusion.
  • Regularly demonstrate complete knowledge of the claim file process through presentation of actions and responses to questions from the contract holder, dealer or repair technician.
  • Processing claims consistent with contractual coverage and company policies, procedures and "best practices". This includes acting in accordance with any statutory, regulatory or ethical requirements.
  • Demonstrated ability to comply with underwriter reporting and processing requirements.

Required Education and Skills include:

  • High school diploma or GED preferred. College Degree is a plus.
  • Five (5) plus years of experience adjusting automotive related property/casualty claims or adjusting claims for F&I related protection products is critical.
  • Successful candidates must demonstrate proficiency in interviewing, problem solving, communication (verbal and written), time management and possess strong conflict resolution skills.
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficient use of current computer systems, Microsoft and web-based applications.
  • Proficient use of communication tools for email, instant message and meeting platforms.
  • Possess problem solving, decisiveness and time management skills.
  • Highly organized and task driven with exposure to a fast paced, high volume environment.
