Job Description:

We are seeking a motivated and experienced Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a crucial role in providing administrative and clinical support to ensure the efficient operation of our facility and the well-being of our patients.

Responsibilities:

Administrative:

  • Schedule appointments and manage patient calendars.
  • Greet patients, obtain/update personal information and medical history.
  • Maintain accurate electronic or paper medical records.
  • Assist with billing, coding, and insurance claims.
  • Answer incoming calls and address patient inquiries.

Clinical:

  • Record vital signs and assist with patient examinations.
  • Prepare and collect laboratory specimens for testing.
  • Administer medications as directed by healthcare providers.
  • Provide patient education on procedures and medications.
  • Ensure the cleanliness and sterilization of medical instruments and equipment.

Other Duties:

  • Manage inventory and replenish medical supplies.
  • Schedule follow-up appointments and provide post-visit instructions.

Requirements:

  • Completion of a medical assistant program or relevant certification.
  • Proven experience as a Medical Assistant.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency with electronic health records (EHR) systems and medical terminology.
  • Compassionate demeanor with a commitment to patient care and confidentiality.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $17.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
