Our pediatric practice is seeking highly motivated, driven, and enthusiastic dental assistants to join our amazing team. Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality and compassionate care to every patient
- Guide parents and patients through the treatment process, ensuring they understand the procedures and feel comfortable
- Educate patients on oral hygiene instructions and provide postoperative care instructions
- Prepare patients for examinations and treatments
- Take x-rays and accurately record them in patient charts
- Maintain operational readiness of operatory rooms
- Prepare tray set-ups for dental procedures
- Sterilize and disinfect instruments and equipment
- Clean chairs and rooms to maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards
- Assist professional dental staff during treatments, including suctioning, holding retractors, and suture cutting during surgical procedures
- Document patient information, treatment plans, and procedures in patient charts
- Adhere to all government regulations and company standards
Required Qualifications:
- Graduation from a senior high school
- High focus on customer service and satisfaction
- Must have a passion for working with children
- Compassion and a high level of service for patients, parents, and staff
- Integrity and a commitment to always do the right thing
- Dependable and reliable, with the ability to work according to the schedule
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
- Professional manner and appearance at all times
- Computer literate
Certifications, Licenses, Registrations:
- X-ray certification
- Certified dental assistant credentials may be required for specific positions
Preferred Qualifications:
- One year of office experience in a dentist's or physician's office
- Experience with children's dentistry
Physical Demands:
- Effective communication skills with patients, parents, and staff
- Ability to walk and stand for extended periods of time
- Lift and carry up to 30 pounds
- Ability to twist, turn, bend, and stoop
