Firefighter - Seasonal

Must be able to report to our Lakeside headquarters, 12566 Vigilante Rd. Lakeside, Ca. 92040, before each shift. No relocation assistance is provided.

Hours: Must be able to work various hours Monday- Sunday

Schedule: Flexible, Seasonal

General Summary:

Employees in this position will provide fire prevention, suppression, and the administration of first aid during medical emergencies to protect life and property endangered by fire and other emergencies within the construction industry; Operate fire equipment, perform fire safety inspections, and other related duties as required and occasionally perform routine non-firefighting tasks. The primary objective is fire and medical emergency prevention.

Scope of work:

  • Provide fire watch in a safe, timely and skilled manner. Quickly follow established company procedures when responding to emergency situations. Correctly and promptly use all relevant apparatus, tools, and equipment.
  • Maintain a positive attitude and strive to meet client's needs. Safely operate company vehicles and equipment as directed.
  • Assist in maintenance of fire tools and equipment.
  • Keep base and related grounds and facilities and supplies in a clean, orderly, and usable condition.
  • Performs routine non-firefighting work tasks willingly and adequately such as working on company records, timecards, and other related paperwork.
  • Functions satisfactorily as a team member of a fire company at all job sites and willingly accepts their share of the required work.
  • Able to meet the physical requirements required to complete tasks.
  • Remain skilled in and properly applies trainings, methods, and company procedures.

Training:

Patriot General Engineering, Inc. is looking for individuals whopossess some or all of the following certifications: In order to be considered for our upcoming season you must provide proof of completion of required general fire training. Mandatory training will be offered May 17th, 2024. This is a great opportunity to acquire some of the skills and certifications required for employment. This is an all-day event and attendance is highly encouraged.

Certifications Requirements:

Employees must possess the following training and certifications as a condition of employment:

NOTE: The below training must be completed within 30 days from your hire date of hire to retain continued employment.

  • FEMA, IS-100
  • FEMA, IS-700
  • NWCG, L-180
  • NWCG, S-190
  • NWCG, S-130
  • NWCG, S-131

If you do not have RT-130 or S-131, Patriot will provide training contingent upon employment, all other certification's must be obtained prior to consideration of permanent employment.
