Piper Heritage Veterinary Clinic is in search of an individual to fill the role of Veterinary Assistant in our thriving companion animal practice! The ideal candidate will have previous experience in the veterinary field, or be currently enrolled in a veterinary technology/nursing program. However, no experience is necessary. This is a great opportunity for those interested in stepping into the field of veterinary medicine!

The role of the veterinary assistant is to support both the veterinarians and veterinary technicians. Veterinary assistants assist by restraining pets and setting up for examinations and procedures. They play a significant role in making technicians available to assist veterinarians with medical procedures while keeping the exam rooms stocked and clean.

This work requires lifting, carrying, and restraining animals. (Employees are assisted when lifting animals weighing more than 40 lbs.) This position requires an individual who is able to walk or stand for extended periods of time; frequently working in a bent or squatting position.
