Responsibilities
- Supervise nursing staff during the 2nd shift, ensuring quality patient care and adherence to protocols.
- Manage and coordinate patient admissions, discharges, and transfers.
- Oversee catheterization procedures and IV insertions, ensuring proper techniques are followed.
- Utilize EMR and EHR systems to maintain accurate patient records and documentation.
- Provide basic life support as needed and respond to emergency situations effectively.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Utilize nursing management skills to optimize team performance and workflow efficiency.
- Demonstrate expertise in physiology to assess patient conditions and provide appropriate care.
- Implement and monitor patient care plans, adjusting as necessary based on individual needs.
- Stay updated on best practices and new developments in nursing to enhance patient outcomes.
Qualifications
- Management experience in a healthcare setting
- Proficiency in catheterization, IV insertion, and basic life support
- Previous experience in supervising nursing staff
- Familiarity with EMR and EHR systems
- Strong patient care skills and knowledge of physiology
- Experience with Epic and other healthcare software systems
- Background in critical care, hospital, and nursing home settings
- Ability to work with individuals with developmental disabilities
- Knowledge of DRG, ophthalmology, and cardiac catheterization
- Competency in airway management, specimen collection, and suturing
- Certification in BLS and other relevant healthcare certifications
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $35.00 - $38.00 per hour
