Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and professional Medical Receptionist to join our team. As a Medical Receptionist, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient service and administrative support to our medical practice. Your attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and ability to multitask will contribute to the smooth operation of our office.
Duties:
- Greet patients and visitors in a friendly and welcoming manner
- Answer phone calls and complete all messages with physician
- Schedule appointments for patients using medical scheduling systems
- Verify patient information, insurance coverage, and collect necessary paperwork
- Maintain patient records and ensure accuracy of information
- Follow HIPAA guidelines to maintain patient confidentiality
- Manage patient inquiries and provide accurate information or direct them to the appropriate resource
- Coordinate with healthcare providers, nurses, and other staff members to ensure efficient workflow
- Perform general office duties such as filing, faxing, scanning, and data entry
Skills:
- Proficiency in using electronic medical record systems
- Excellent customer service skills with a focus on patient satisfaction
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Knowledge of medical terminology and procedures
- Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
- Familiarity with phone systems and ability to handle high call volumes
- Attention to detail and accuracy in maintaining records and documentation
