Job Summary: To test and evaluate patients' physical and mental abilities and analyze the data to determine realistic rehabilitation goals and learn life‐management skills within limits of their mental and physical capabilities. Will also administer a program to restore maximum function, including life skills, perceptual motor abilities, sensory function, and adjustment to disability. Collaborates with other professional disciplines to ensure effective and efficient patient care delivery and the achievement of desired patient outcomes. Assist in all phases of care including assessment, treatment, program planning, and implementation as well as documentation and communication. Maintain the nursing department schedule, assisted living schedule and perform medical secretarial tasks as necessary to the functioning of the nursing home.

Job Qualifications:

• Associate Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
• Current state licensure or license eligible.
• One year of current experience within the last three years in a comparable job classification.
• Successful completion of the National Certification for Occupational Therapist Assistant preferred.
• Preference given to experience in managing staff, administration, or the practice of leading residential therapies in the long-term care setting.
• Work effectively with minimal supervision, effective communication skills, and ability to lead a group of people in completing tasks.
• Meet the physical job demands of the position
• Skilled in Microsoft Access, Excel, Word, and Medical Records Management
• Ability to obtain certification as a nursing assistant and HHA trained.
• Ability to maintain and manage an organized system for record keeping
• Ability to work on multiple tasks and be productive despite numerous interruptions

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $23.65 per hour
