About OK Corral Gun Club

The OK Corral Gun Club is Florida’s premier outdoor shooting and recreational facility featuring two 15 station sporting clays courses, 7 station sub gauge course, 2 Fitasc Parcour, Fivestand, wobble deck, trap and skeet, stocked pro shop. The OK Corral Gun Club is situated on a 350 acre site formerly used for grazing cattle dating back to the early 1800’s when Okeechobee was first populated by European settlers. During initial construction of the property, the Club commissioned Members of the local Seminole Indian Tribe to build 6 Chikki Huts on the grounds. The huts offer a respite from inclement weather and a place for relaxation. The OK Corral has over 20,000 square feet of facility providing venues for weddings, banquets, corporate events and shooting activity. The Cabins at OK Corral Gun Club offer a dozen cabins that will provide a haven for those folks who want to enjoy the tranquil setting or participate in one the many events hosted on the property.

Education and/or Experience

· High school diploma, GED equivalent or higher required.

Job Knowledge, Core Competencies and Expectations

· Able to operate Jonas Software.

· Knowledge of procedures for making shooting reservations, checking members and guests into and out of proshop, and for accepting and accounting for golf carts and rental guns.

· Knowledge of and ability to perform required role during emergency situations.

Job Summary (Essential Functions)

Assist members and guests in all front office-related areas in an efficient, courteous, and professional manner that maintains high standards of service and hospitality.

Job Tasks/Duties

· Registers members and guests for shooting activities, including release of liability waiver, gun rentals, and golf cart rentals.

· Follows proper credit, cash, checking and cash-handling policies and procedures.

· Knows shooting locations, types of shooting venues available and rates.

· Uses suggestive selling techniques to sell merchandise, ammunition, shotguns and to promote other services of the club.

· Communicates with Pro-shop Manager and Shooting Sports Director to ensure smooth daily operations.

· Takes same-day reservations and future reservations when necessary.

· Manages golf cart key system.

· Operates front-office equipment.

· Processes member and guest check-outs.

· Follows procedures for issuing gun and cart rentals to members and guests.

· Uses proper telephone etiquette.

· Processes mail, packages and messages.

· Knows of daily activities and meetings taking place in the club.

· Attends department meetings.

· Reports unusual occurrences or requests to the Shooting Sports Director.

· Familiar with all safety and emergency procedures and accident prevention policies.

· Maintains the cleanliness and neatness of the front-desk and lobby areas.

· Ensures the Proshop is stocked, cleaned and organized.

· Assists with ordering and inventory.

· Cleans, organizes and parks golf carts

· Performs other appropriate tasks as assigned.

Physical Demands and Work Environment

· Occasional bending, stooping, lifting and pulling.

· Must be able to pass drug test prior/on first day

· Frequent sitting, walking and standing.

Pay: $14.00 - $16.00 per hour
