In addition, this position inspires a 'sales through service' culture throughout the organization, whereby team members recognize sales opportunities via listening and identifying member needs and are motivated to cross sell NorthRidge's products and services that fulfill those needs. Achieves this through coaching, guidance, and motivation. Always projects a positive and friendly image for the NorthRidge through interactions with members and co-workers.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS and RESPONSIBILIES
Serve as the first point of contact for branch retail team. Coaches, trains and monitors daily activities of the team with emphasis on member relationship building. Responsible for scheduling the workflow of daily routine operations. Onboards new employees. Fills in and performs duties of team positions as needed.
Providing Branch oversight, ensure that the branch opens and closes in accordance with set hours. Responsible for branch cash flows. Assists in alarm system controls and testing. Works with team to coordinate proper maintenance and general housekeeping of the building, grounds, work areas, desks, and equipment is carried out.
Create and utilize reports to proactively identify strong areas of performance as well as areas of opportunities. Conducts regular meetings with team(s) to ensure that all branches are operating efficiently and trained to discuss current events, suggestions, and difficult or escalated situations. Meet regularly with AVP of Operations to discuss operational, member service and sales issues of staff. Review error logs and collaborate a plan of action, if needed.
Monitors department activities for compliance with established policy, procedures and regulations. Takes action to resolve any out-of-compliance issues. Remains in compliance and follows all BSA policy and procedures including the completion of annual BSA training.
KNOWLEDGE and SKILLS
Experience: Three years to five years of similar or related experience.
Education: A high school education or GED.
Interpersonal Skills: Work involves much personal contact with others inside and/or outside the organization for the purpose of first-level conflict resolution, building relationships, and soliciting cooperation. Discussions involve a higher degree of confidentiality and discretion, requiring diplomacy and tact in communication.
Other Skills : Assists, coordinates, manages, and directs others. Organizes work flow to accomplish established objectives, delegates tasks, ensures adequate training, evaluates subordinate effectiveness, and administers necessary discipline. Talks to others to convey information effectively. Thorough knowledge of established teller procedures and policies. Understanding of Credit Union operations. General office equipment such as calculators, computers, photocopiers, and scanners. Includes the ability to operate encoding, coin counting, and cash counting machines. Demonstrates the willingness to learn and advance knowledge and skill levels by completing available training and certifications.
Physical Requirements | • Must be able to work in a stationary position for 95% of the work day.
• Utilizing the telephone 20% of the work day.
• Bending, twisting, kneeling, stooping or crouching when appropriate, on occasion.
• Repetitive movements, including but not limited to typing, mousing, phones, etc.
• Moving, lifting and/or carrying 55 pounds with or without accommodation.
Work Environment: Frequent travel between locations is required.
