Pacific Aero Tech, LLC is Hiring a Planning and Purchasing Manager Near Kent, WA

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Planning and Purchasing Manager will serve as Player / Coach of team to communicate with all departments in the scheduling & status of all CMM and PATO Work Orders based on the availability of technical data (e.g. ECRA, BSR, SREDI, etc.), labor resources, and the needed supplies to maximize the output and Customer Satisfaction for PAT.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • PLANNING ROLE – Partnering with key stakeholders including Sales/Customer Service, Production/Shop leadership, materials, to develop and execute date driven schedules for TAT excellence and 100% on-time delivery. Liaison with all parties to ensure commitment to promised dates.
  • Overcome obstacles and bottlenecks.
  • Provide a clear forecast and prioritized capacity plan to the end-to-end execution teams and optimize the plan for availability, business growth and cost.
  • As applicable, Communicating & Monitoring Customer specific instructions and allocations of supplies (e.g. CFM parts, Boeing Windows designated to distinct work orders, etc.) to ensure efficiency and accuracy.
  • PURCHASING ROLE - Develop and maintain procurement policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company standards.
  • Lead and mentor purchasing staff to foster a culture of continuous improvement and excellence. Place purchase orders in the ERP system and correct Purchase Price Variances (PPV) for Accts Payable when necessary.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including logistics, finance, and product development, to coordinate procurement activities.
  • Develop and implement purchasing strategies to optimize cost savings and improve supply chain efficiency.
  • Source and negotiate with suppliers to obtain the best terms and pricing for goods and services.
  • Evaluate supplier performance and establish strong relationships to ensure reliability and quality of supply.
  • Analyze purchasing data and generate reports to support decision-making and strategic planning.

This position requires stamina and grit; effective time management skills are very important.

  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Develop technical insights into the product, customer value, and margin drivers to make well balanced data driven decisions for the business.
  • Drive continued process efficiencies and tooling improvements.
  • Must have an eye for detail and possess excellent communications, analytical, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Recruit and train new staff.
  • Provide daily, weekly, or monthly report(s) as required.
  • Assist customer service with exchange options, if required.
  • Act as a backup for both Warranty handling and RMA handling.
  • Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Requires a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business, Engineering, or related field.
  • 5 years of work experience in a manufacturing or MRO industrial services environment
  • ERP knowledge and experience.
  • Solid understanding of processes and GAAP accounting practices.
  • Prior experience in Planning, Production, Purchasing and/or Customer Service
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, data entry software, preferably use of ERP software such as Pentagon.
  • Must understand, speak, read, and write English (FAA Requirement)
  • Pre-employment drug screening required.

Drug-free working environment. Combination of usual office conditions and manufacturing environment. Some elements in the production area may be present which make conditions less desirable than usually found in an office setting. Employees may occasionally experience exposure to elements such as odor, dust, heat, cold, or chemicals. The production area is a chemical working area; food is not allowed.

The employee is expected to adhere to all COMPANY policies and to act as a role model in the adherence to policies.

Pay: $75,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
