About the Company:

MMI Storage Solutions is a company manufacturing high-density mobile shelving systems for retail clients all across the United States. As client demand for shelving increases, we seek to grow our team immediately. MMI handles inbound, outbound, and occasional international freight moving 25-30 loads per week. We are seeking to grow the freight department by adding experienced freight coordinators to the team.

Summary of Position:

• Well-coordinated and organized person needed to join our manufacturing team in the freight department with knowledge of LTL and dedicated carrier shipments.
• Close collaboration with warehouse crew to capture all freight details of each shipment inclusive of weights, pieces, dimensions, etc.
• Work with a variety of carriers and brokers to find best rate for shipping lane within budget.
• Teamwork with project managers and installation team in coordinating delivery dates and dock appointments.
• Management of third-party shipments from outside vendors.
• Inbound load booking and PO receipts in system.
• Assistance with inventory management as related to truck load moves between warehouses on east and west coast.
• Experience with loadboards or backhauls is helpful.

Responsibilities Include:

• Coordinating pickups and deliveries of goods.
• Preparation of documents needed for shipping, with thorough review process.
• Communication via email, phone, web applications, & teleconference to assist team with product delivery.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, primarily Outlook and Excel.
• Willing to work overtime hours and answer calls outside of business hours as necessary.
• Environment is busy and fast paced, with lots of moving parts. Candidate must be an excellent multi-tasker.

Compensation includes a salary commensurate with experience, participation in group insurance plans upon eligibility, paid time off, sick leave, parental leave and more. Individual compensation packages are based on various factors unique to each candidate, including skill set, experience, qualifications, and other job-related reasons.
