Summary:

The Inventory Control and Work in Progress Accountant position requires a knowledge of accounting principles such as GAAP, Cost Accounting, Inventory controls, financial concepts, double entry bookkeeping, and proficiency in accounting software. The ideal candidate should possess knowledge of QuickBooks, along with knowledge of corporate and/or manufacturing accounting. Additionally, skills in financial report writing, interpretation,, and preparation are essential for this role. The successful candidate will also be responsible for balance sheet reconciliation, serving as backup for accounts payable, backup for accounts receivable, and regulatory reporting. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft tools is a must. Experience with a manufacturing environment is a plus.

Qualifications:

-Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related Field

-Strong knowledge of GAAP, Cost Accounting, Inventory Controls, and financial concepts

-Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel

-Knowledge or experience with double entry bookkeeping and financial statement presentation

-Ability to work in a manufacturing environment

-Ability to work 100% onsite

-Ability to work in a small company

-Excellent interpersonal communication and presentation skills

-Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy in work

-Dependable

-Must be flexible and able to work with a changing work load and assignments.

-Prior experience in inventory control and work in progress accounting is a plus

-QB Enterprise Manufacturing and Wholesale experience is a plus
