Micro Gauge is Hiring a Materials Coordinator Near Brighton, MI
Do you enjoy overseeing all activities related to supply chain and inventory needs?
Look no further, Micro Gauge Inc. has a great opportunity for a motivated, fast pace individual who can help with functions to plan, coordinate, control and direct activities involving the scheduling and release of production work orders, and the maintaining of effective inventory control records and system procedures.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Assigns procurement requests to the appropriate personnel.
Oversees all activities related to procurement of a commodity, from intent to purchase through delivery of commodity.
Coordinates with General Foreman when working with suppliers on meeting plant needs for delivery and lead-times.
Order intercompany raw materials, and raw materials from vendors for facilities as needed.
Monitors material inventories, tracks progress of production and reviews factors that affect schedules.
Makes necessary modifications to schedules, issuing orders to the appropriate department due to revisions.
Reports any manning or other constraints to management and offers suggestions for achieving required output to meet customer demand.
Provides information, as needed, to support item master and process routing updates in QAD.
Streamlines intercompany processing and communication.
Generate reports from QAD for customer on-time delivery.
Participate in production meetings, weekend planning and others as needed.
Experience with planning in an MRP application valued highly.
In charge with Controller of Annual Physical Inventory.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor’s degree (B. A.) or equivalent in accounting, finance or business administration or equivalent; or Supply Chain Management; or Certified in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM); or four to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Recent College Grads with Supply Chain Management Degree encouraged to apply.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $22.00 - $25.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
