Job Title: Cook

Location: McKenzie Living Eugene, Gateway Adult Residential Care

Schedule: Wednesday - Sunday, 9:30 AM - 6:00 PM

Pay: $16.50 - $22.35 per hour, plus a campus differential of $1.25 per hour

Position Summary:

Gateway Adult Residential Care is looking for a dedicated Cook to join our team. The role is crucial in delivering nutritious and enjoyable meals to our residents, maintaining kitchen cleanliness, and adhering to health and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare meals according to prescribed menus and recipes.
• Ensure cleanliness and proper storage of kitchen tools and areas.
• Stock houses with necessary food supplies.
• Manage special dietary needs and preferences of residents.
• Maintain documentation and complete required paperwork daily.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

• Previous experience in a residential care or mental health facility.
• Strong culinary skills with attention to detail.
• Self-motivated, dependable, and organized.
• Demonstrates compassion and empathy towards residents.
• Excellent physical stamina and communication skills.

Required Qualifications:

• Must successfully pass a background check and drug test upon a conditional job offer.

Physical Requirements:

• Frequent standing, walking, bending, twisting, kneeling, and crouching throughout shifts.
• Regularly lift, push, or pull up to 50 lbs.
