The purpose of the Member Engagement Representative position is to initiate outbound phone calls to new and existing members to welcome new members, provide exceptional member service, and introduce products and services and the overall benefits of Members 1st Federal Credit Union membership.

This role has no budgetary responsibility, but decisions could have a marginal impact. The problems encountered are relatively simple in nature, has limited supervision of work, and requires strong accuracy in daily job functions.

The Member Engagement Representative is responsible for initiating outbound phone calls to new members, promoting products and services, performing account management services for new and existing members, and participating in special projects.

This includes, but is not limited to, inquiring to new members to level of service received, verifying new loan information, conducting targeted outbound calls to members, providing products and services that align with member needs, working within the loan application system to submit loans, performing account maintenance for members, and providing backup for the inbound call queue.

This is a hybrid opportunity that will require you to be in office at our headquarters (Enola, PA) 2-3 days per week. The position may require in-person training.

EXPERIENCE :

2-4 years of related experience with retail financial services in a customer service role

or in retail services in a position providing consultative sales and service delivery,

contact center operations or outbound sales

EDUCATION :

General and business knowledge equivalent to an Associate’s degree in Business

SKILLS :

  • Strong analytical, accuracy, and problem-solving skills
  • Solid communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills
  • Strong sales, time management, and organizational skills
  • Proficient skills in Microsoft Office and common software

PREFERENCES :

Experience in Home Equity and / or Consumer Lending preferred

  • Ability to travel, including occasional overnight travel
  • Ability to exert minimum amounts of force occasionally to lift, carry, push, pull or move objects
