Dog Groomer Doggy Day Caregiver
We are a small full service grooming business seeking an experienced Dog Groomer to join our team. You will be responsible for the overall grooming care and well-being of the dogs at our facility. Trained and experienced pet groomers/stylists are encouraged to apply. We also provide Doggy Day Care services for our community a few days a week and are looking for a dog lover to spend the day pampering and treating our dog clients to playdates with their furry friends.
Job Description:
Full-time (W2) groomer and doggy day caregiver position
Day shift Tuesday through Saturday 9 am to 5 pm. (Closed Sunday and Monday)
Seasonal bookings will vary
Up to 40-hours/week
Up to 8-hour shifts
Pay range $12/hr – $16/hr depending on experience, plus tips
Dog Groomer Responsibilities:
Washing, brushing, drying, clipping, and trimming coats, cutting nails, and cleaning ears.
Collaborate with team to handle a high volume of grooming appointments and ensured a positive customer experience
Provide exceptional customer service, addressing client questions and concerns with professionalism and empathy
Answer and return customer phone calls and texts
Check-in/check-out grooming appointments using scheduling and point of sale system
Maintained cleanliness and organization of grooming station, ensuring a safe and hygienic environment for pets and staff
Doggy Day Caregiver Responsibilities:
Greet doggy day care customers and check-in/check-out appointments
Engage in play activities and exercise with the animals
Daily facility cleaning and upkeep; weekly deep cleaning
Qualifications:
Enthusiastic and dedicated dog groomer who can meet the unique needs of each pet
Consistent in delivering high-quality grooming services with precise attention to detail resulting in satisfied dog parents
Ability to interact with dogs in a calm, non-threatening manner, including those with anxiety or behavioral issues
Efficiently manage grooming workload and schedule to ensure on-time departures and client satisfaction
Dog lovers who are also responsible, punctual, flexible and dedicated to doing their best work
Prior professional in-person and phone customer service experience is a plus!
Ability to lift dogs up to 100 lbs. with assistance
