Remote Work:This position does not work remotely. Position QualificationsBachelor of Science degree in nursing from an accredited school of nursing with an active license in the State of Colorado is required; Master's in a health care related field is preferred. Minimum five (5) years' direct clinical experience and/or clinical supervisory experience strongly preferred. Minimum three (3) years' experience in healthcare quality assessment/quality improvement, regulatory compliance and accreditation strongly preferred. Job PurposeThis position provides oversight of the Regulatory Compliance and Quality Assessment/Process Improvement programs to ensure these programs are developed and managed utilizing a data-driven approach that sets priorities supporting the delivery of safe, high-quality patient care. Comprehensive knowledge base and understanding of regulatory requirements as relates to compliance with the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Conditions of Participation, the State of Colorado Regulations, and the Behavioral Hospital Association
Ability to provide leadership both independently and as a member of management teams in decision making, implementation, quality/regulatory compliance, and improvement.
CPR/BLS Certification for Healthcare Provider prior to independent patient care required.
CPI Training/Certification optional in order to perform duties required by CPI training to provide verbal de-escalation and physical and mechanical restraints if necessary (Training for certification will be provided).
Strong knowledge of clinical processes and operations in a psychiatric health care setting
Excellent project management skills
Excellent skill sets in Windows based computer applications such as Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
Excellent skills and strong experience in data aggregation and analysis with the ability to create clearly defined presentations
Strong analytical skills relevant to support the Quality and Regulatory Compliance role
Ability to create and support team activities designed to strengthen processes intended to ensure regulatory compliance
Ability to operate standard office equipment including calculator, copy machine, fax and multi-line telephone.
Interpersonal and communication skills to develop and maintain effective working relationships with all internal and external customers.
Maintains the confidentiality of all patient information per HIPAA regulations, federal and state law, and organizational policy
Knowledge of healthcare delivery systems and hospital risk and safety practices
Knowledge and skilled in tuberculin skin test screening and follow-up
Knowledge of Infection Control and transmission concepts
Working Conditions/Physical DemandsEmployee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Employee is frequently required to walk, sit, stand or kneel and occasionally required to climb or balance and stoop. Must have ability to sit for longer periods of time at a computer. Employee must be able to travel between Mind Springs sites. May be exposed to stressful situations that involve enraged, distraught and/or intoxicated individuals with possible mental health conditions. Possible exposure to communicable disease.
