This position will be used to fill one (1) part time Laundry Worker position. This position is a rotating shift; day/evening. The day shift is 7:00am-3:30pm, the evening shift is 3:00pm-11:00pm. The work schedule will include at least 64 hours per two-week pay period and may include additional work hours, based on business needs. The position is initially eligible for full employer contribution towards health and dental insurance benefits.
Operate washing machines and dryers. Wash, dry, fold and hang all resident laundry and replace bed linens, when applicable. Collect, sort and distribute Resident laundry.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Knowledge of laundry processing sufficient to operate machines and equipment and follow procedures.
Ability to:
  • Lift and carry laundry items.
  • Follow instructions.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Knowledge of infectious control processes and requirements
Additional RequirementsThis position requires successful completion of the following:
  • A Minnesota Department of Human Services (DHS) background check may be conducted on the top finalist(s) for the position(s). When conducted, a finalist must pass the DHS background check.
  • A Tuberculosis (Mantoux) screening (or chest x-ray) is required prior to employment.
  • Employment reference checks will be conducted on finalists. This may include a review of documentation related to job performance and contact with the applicant's former employer(s).
