Position Summary:
Metro Security is seeking an experienced and vigilant Unarmed Security Officer to join our team. The primary responsibility of this role is to ensure the safety and security of all patrons, staff, and property within the marina premises. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to upholding the highest standards of professionalism.

Key Responsibilities:

• Patrol the premises on foot, ensuring all areas are secure and free from unauthorized access.
• Detect and respond to any suspicious activity or safety hazards.
• Provide assistance and directions to patrons as needed, maintaining a friendly and approachable demeanor at all times.
• Respond promptly to any emergencies or incidents, following established procedures and protocols.
• Report any safety hazards, maintenance issues, or security breaches to the appropriate authorities.
• Collaborate with staff, local law enforcement, and emergency services to ensure a coordinated response to security-related issues.
• Conduct regular inspections of gates, fences, and other security equipment to ensure proper functioning.
• Maintain accurate logs and records of security-related activities, including patrols, incidents, and observations.
• Assist with crowd control during busy periods or special events.
• Adhere to all company policies and procedures, as well as local laws and regulations governing security operations.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience in security, law enforcement, or a related field preferred.
• Excellent observational skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Ability to remain calm and composed in stressful situations.
• Physical fitness and the ability to stand, walk, and patrol for extended periods.
• Flexibility to work overnights, weekends, and holidays.
