Full Job Description

As a Certified Professional Coder (CPC) at Medical Healthcare Solutions, Inc., you will play a critical role in ensuring accurate coding and billing for our clients. Your expertise will help maximize revenue while maintaining compliance with all regulatory guidelines.

Maintaining CPC (Certified Professional Coder) accredidation is very important, as well as an understanding of a wide array of medical specialties. These specialties include, but are not limited to Gastroenterology, Endoscopy, Podiatry, Orthopedics, Internal Medicine, Plastic Surgery.

The position will also require speaking/meeting with clients to discuss high-level coding questions.

Required Qualifications:

• Certified Professional Coder (CPC) certification from AAPC or equivalent.
• Minimum of 2 years of medical coding experience, preferably in a third-party billing environment.
• Strong knowledge of CPT, ICD-10-CM, and HCPCS coding systems.
• Excellent understanding of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology.
• Proficiency with medical billing software and electronic health records (EHR).
• Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Answer clients coding questions.
• Attend meetings with clients for guidance on coding and answer any questions.
• Ensure compliance with federal and state regulations and guidelines.
• Collaborate with billing and claims departments to resolve coding issues.
• Stay updated with the latest coding guidelines and industry trends.
• Assist in the development and implementation of coding policies and procedures.
• Provide coding support and education to healthcare providers and staff.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $45,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
