Lawrence Day School is a childcare center serving children 6 weeks to 5 years old. We are looking to hire a Substitute / Floater to aid the center when staff need days off and cover lunch breaks. Applicants must be able to have a fluctuating schedule that will be posted weekly.

Duties:
- Provide substitute teaching services in various classrooms with children 6 weeks to 5 years.
- Follow lesson plans and instructions provided by the regular teacher.
- Maintain a positive and supportive learning environment for students.
- Adapt teaching methods and materials to meet the individual needs of students.
- Manage classroom behavior and ensure a safe and respectful learning environment.

Experience:
- Previous experience working with children in an educational setting/ childcare center is preferred.
- Knowledge of Early Childhood Development and Developmentally Appropriate Practices is a plus.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to adapt to different teaching styles and classroom environments.
- Patience and understanding when working with students of diverse backgrounds and abilities.
- Flexibility to work on short notice and in different schools or classrooms.

Please note that this is a substitute position, which means that the schedule may vary depending on the availability of assignments. Substitute teachers are typically called in to cover for regular teachers who are absent.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $15.00 - $15.50 per hour

Expected hours: 6 – 30 per week
