Job DescriptionThe Regional Instructional Coach is a network-level position serving schools in Blytheville, AR and/or Helena, AR and reporting to the Director of Curriculum & Instruction. The primary responsibility of the Regional Instructional Coach is to develop and support teachers to deliver excellent instruction yielding top-tier student outcomes. An expert in high-quality instruction both in theory and practice, the Regional Instructional Coach has demonstrated experience achieving top-tier student outcomes as a classroom teacher and leading adults to achieve ambitious goals. The Regional Instructional Coach provides intensive, content specific coaching for teachers over set cycles. They work closely with the Director of Curriculum & Instruction and School Leaders to develop data-driven coaching strategy, then collect and analyze student data to ensure their coaching measurably improves student academic performance. The Regional Instructional Coach will coach a caseload of teachers that is either content-based (ELA / math and science) across both Blytheville and Helena schools, or serve as a generalist coaching teachers across multiple K-8 content areas while being based in either Blytheville or Helena. The Regional Instructional Coach Will Focus OnTeacher Coaching & Instructional Support (75%) Execute on-the-ground teacher coaching targeted at helping teachers get better, faster as measured by student performance outcomes on MAP, ATLAS, and internal assessments Work closely with School Leaders to plan and execute data-driven coaching debriefs; hold teachers and School Leaders accountable to feedback implementation on set cadences Support the implementation of high-quality instructional materials and curriculum in alignment with One KIPP Co-lead regular school walk-throughs and classroom observations with school and regional leadership teams to identify trends and drive alignment Plan and deliver Professional Learning Community content and content-specific professional development for teachers and leaders as part of a larger professional development strategy; support school improvement plan implementation Strategy & Data Analysis (20%) Identify key levers and metrics for student achievement; backwards plan coaching inputs to intentionally drive student outcomes Analyze student performance data to identify and address trends by classroom, school, and student subgroups; develop data-driven coaching strategy to address specific gaps and drive equitable outcomes for all students Build and implement network-level coaching infrastructure and systems for collecting, tracking, and analyzing coaching data including network-level observation/debrief systems, feedback implementation tools/systems, and systems for correlating coaching inputs with student performance over time. Meet bi-weekly with School Leaders to tightly align on school-specific trends and individual/small group coaching points Work closely with the Director of Leader Development and the Director of Curriculum & Instruction to tightly align coaching strategy and professional development across the network.
