Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Dental Assistant to join our work family who wants longevity in an office and can bring an attitude of posititivy . This person must be a dependable, fun, hard-working, proactive team player.

As a Dental Assistant, you will provide support to the dentist and help deliver quality dental care to our young patients. Your role will involve assisting with procedures, maintaining patient records, and ensuring a comfortable, fun and efficient dental experience for all.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize instruments
• Take and develop dental x-rays
• Perform coronal polishing
• Perform basic dental lab tasks, such as pouring impressions
• Provide chairside assistance to the dentist during procedures
• Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-operative care
• Maintain accurate patient records and update medical histories
• Follow HIPAA guidelines to ensure patient privacy and confidentiality

Skills:

• Familiarity with pediatric dentistry is preferred
• Strong assisting skills, including four-handed dentistry techniques
• Solid understanding of dental anatomy and terminology
• Proficiency in using dental software (e.g., Dentrix, Eaglesoft) for recordkeeping

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent required; completion of a dental assistant program preferred
• Current certification in CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation)
• X-ray certification required in accordance with state regulations

We see patients 4 days per week either Monday through Thursday or Tuesday through Friday from 7:30-3:30 during the school year and 7:00-3:00 during the summer. This is nice because it allows for the possibility of a long 4 day weekend to spend with friends, family or take a trip if desired. We use our non patient days otherwise for admin tasks and keeping the office clean.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.25 - $22.33 per hour
