About the Organization:

Lost Our Home Pet Rescue is a non-profit, no-kill pet rescue based in Tempe, AZ whose mission is to provide compassionate options for pets and pet parents in a crisis. Many of our programs are linked to the human-animal bond. Our programs include rescue/adoption, a pet food bank, 24/7 shelter access for Tempe first responders, and a 90-day Temporary Care Program for people in crisis due to homelessness, domestic violence, medical issues, and more. Our beautiful shelter is designed to be comforting for both people and pets and is located in Tempe, Arizona. It houses approx 30 dogs and 70 cats with another 100 pets located offsite.

Job Brief and Summary:

Are you a custodian who takes pride in their work and are looking to contribute to a lifesaving mission? Or are you simply looking to make a little extra money and have always been interested in working at a pet rescue? You might be what we're looking for!

We are looking for a very part-time cleaner to take care of our bathroom/kitchen areas and carry out cleaning and sanitization duties. The goal is to keep our facilities in a clean and orderly condition.

The schedule is very flexible; you pick the day and time you want to work. It can be any day of the week from 7:00 am - 7:00 pm. The position is 1 shift a week for approximately 3 hours.

Responsibilities:

  • Cleans restrooms (5), including emptying trash, cleaning and sanitizing fixtures, cleaning mirrors, spot cleaning doors and walls, sweeping and mopping floors, cleaning sinks, and cleaning toilets.
  • Cleans kitchen (1.5), including emptying trash and recycling, cleaning and sanitizing fixtures, spot cleaning walls, sweeping and mopping floors, and cleaning sink/counter.
  • Restocking bathrooms and kitchens.
  • Follow all health and safety regulations.

Education and Experience requirements:

  • Previous cleaning experience a plus
  • High school diploma, GED or equivalent

Requirements and skills:

  • Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and supplies
  • Ability to work independently
  • Highly responsible & reliable

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $15.00 - $15.50 per hour

Expected hours: 3 per week
