We have immediate openings for 2-Embroidery Machine Operators in Greensboro NC. We are seeking dynamic, hard-working individual with a solid work background in high speed manufacturing and a desire to work for a fast paced, small organization. In addition to these qualities you must have a "roll up your sleeves" attitude, being punctual and reliable is very important. Experience is preferred but not necessary, we will train the right person.
Job Summary:
Operates embroidery/monogram machine to embroider all types of garments, hats, & household articles. Preferably worked with Barudan Embroidery Machines but not necessary.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Operates embroidery/monogram machine to embroider name, initial or decorative designs on embroider all types of garments, hats, & household articles.
Reads work order to determine type and location of embroidery.
Maintains accurate records and logs on all incoming orders.
Operates automatic embroidery machines with multiple sewing heads or needles controlled by either perforated tape or computer program.
Selects size and color thread, draws it through machine guides and bobbin, turns set-screws to regulate machine settings, positions article under hoop pressure and utilizes a computer program hooked to a single head machine. Guides fabric under needle by hand or turns under mechanical feed bed to guide material, following stamped or computer designed pattern or by freehand.
Observes sewing operation to detect defects in stitching that indicate machine malfunction and corrects malfunction when needed. Repairs defective embroidery or fill blanks left by embroidery machine.
Applies lettering by sewing or taping hat and clothing to form an embroidery design.
Inspects each complete embroidery order, may be required to redo customer's orders.
Performs required maintenance on machine and makes minor repairs and adjustments, i.e., oiling and setting tensions as directed by factory manuals.
Assists with monthly inventory, requisitions and maintains adequate supply of stock at all times.
Works under the general supervision of a designated manager. Assignments are performed based on written and oral instructions. Incumbent carries out embroidering assignments independently and in accordance with own ability and skill in performing embroidering duties, following established procedures. Refers unusual embroidering problems to manager for assistance. Review is made in terms of timeliness, efficiency of operations and patron's satisfaction.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
PHYSICAL EFFORT:
Stands for long periods with continual movement of hands, feet, arms and fingers in placing items in position. Lift 30-40lbs.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
Work is performed in well lighted and ventilated areas. Area often will be noisy because of the loudness of equipment operated. Operator is subject to possible needle punctures and minor thread cuts
WORKING HOURS:
(40 Hrs Weekly) 8:30am - 5:00pm Monday - Friday
Must be able to work overtime when needed

Starting $13.00 Hourly
