Little Wonders Childcare & Learning Center is a Grow NJ Kids rated center. The duties required of Little Wonders teachers include:

*Collaboration with classroom staff to implement developmentally appropriate lesson plans and activities

*Creating and managing on-going student observations and records

*Maintaining a well-organized, safe and attractive classroom environment

*Providing positive guidance of student behaviors

*Maintaining a clean and healthy classroom environment according to cleaning checklist and guidelines for cleaning and sanitizing

*Instructing children in health and personal habits such as eating, resting, handwashing and toileting

*Attending mandatory staff meetings, required trainings and continued education hours

*Maintaining emergency forms, individual child care plans and attendance records as needed

*Must become First Aid and CPR certified

*Must meet all licensing regulations including background and health checks

*Must be willing to work flexible hours in order to meet the needs of the program

*Maintaining ongoing, open communication with parents/caregivers

*Maintaining confidentiality of all families and students

*Assisting Director or other teachers in tasks in addition to those listed on job description as needed to meet the needs of the center

This physical demands of this job include:

• Ability to sit, stand, kneel, bend, squat or crawl
• Ability to life and carry a child
• Ability to participate in active play with child(ren) including walking, jumping, running, skipping, hopping, throwing balls etc.

Experience: Minimum 1 year teaching experience

Education: Minimum of CDA or Associates degree in Early Childhood or related field preferred

Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
