Join our passionate baking team at Lily's Cookies! As an Evening Baker, you will be pivotal in supporting our day-to-day operations. This position is responsible for the preparation of dough and production of baked goods in addition to side work during lulls in production. This role demands a keen eye for the nuances of flavor and texture, a solid understanding of baking processes, and a creative flair that aligns with the tastes our customers love.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

• Production Excellence: Craft a diverse range of bakery products such as cookies, bars, brownies, whoopie pies, and cookie cakes following precise recipes and guidance.
• Quality Control: Ensure quality control and work with management and other bakers collectively to correct any deficiencies.
• Stock Management: Efficiently manage stock levels and ensure proper rotation to maintain freshness.
• Kitchen Operations: Set up and maintain your workstation in line with our bakery’s high standards.
• Equipment and Safety: Report any equipment issues or shortages and maintain high safety and sanitation standards.
• Customer Experience: Contribute to creating memorable experiences for customers by ensuring product quality.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Technical Skills: Proficient in baking, from ingredient preparation to finished product, with a focus on safety and sanitation.
• Attention to Detail: Ability to produce high-quality products consistently under pressure.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Education: Associate’s degree in Baking & Pastry Arts preferred.
• Experience: 6 months to 2 years of relevant baking experience; commercial bakery or restaurant experience a plus.
• Availability: Must be available to work evening hours/after 6pm.

Work Conditions:

• This role is physically demanding; you will need to be able to stand for long periods, lift up to 50 pounds, and handle various kitchen temperatures.
• Typical working hours are from 6 PM to 11 PM, with potential overtime during peak seasons. Working hours can be flexible and should be discussed during the interview.

Pay: $13.00 - $16.00 per hour
