Employment Opportunity – Field Appraiser

Salary: NEW STARTING WAGE! Minimum starting wage is $18.60/hr.

Minimum Qualifications: Graduation from High School or GED equivalent

Preferred Qualifications: Associate’s degree or bachelor’s degree in a related field. Previous real estate and/or construction experience. One year of increasingly responsible related experience. A comparable combination of education and experience may be considered.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: Must possess a valid driver's license. Must obtain a CAA (Certified Appraiser Assessor) designation through the South Dakota Department of Revenue within one year from the date of hire. Recertification is required every five years.

Description: This position works under the general supervision of the Director of Equalization. This position is responsible for independently performing full working level technical and professional appraising work in establishing real property values for tax assessment purposes.
