Overview:

We are starting to look for an experienced groomer to join our team. We are a smaller dog only boarding, daycare, and now grooming facility. All dogs must be under 18 inches from the shoulder down and under 50 lbs to come to our facility. We are not a large facility so to start we will only be offering grooming appointments on the weekends. We are open to offering it on the weekdays but unsure of how we will make that work with the limited we have available. We would like to build a relationship with the perfect groomer and offer a very flexible schedule. As long as our customers have access to a reasonable amount of appointment slots with an experienced groomer, the hours are pretty flexible! We are happy to sit down and talk more with qualified applicants. This is not an hourly position, indeed did not give us the option to remove that slot on the Ad. We are offering up to 50% commission and you keep your tips. We are open to 1099 if you carry your own insurance or payroll (direct deposit). We do not require a non compete but will have a contract.

Responsibilities:

- Perform grooming services such as bathing, brushing, clipping, and styling pets
- Safely handle and restrain pets during grooming procedures
- Provide compassionate care and attention to the pets' needs
- Maintain a clean and safe grooming environment
- Communicate effectively with pet owners to understand their grooming preferences
- Monitor pets for health issues or abnormalities and report any concerns to the appropriate staff

Qualifications:

- Previous experience in pet grooming or related field required
- Knowledge of different breeds and their specific grooming requirements
- Ability to handle various temperaments of animals with patience and care
- Strong communication skills with both pet owners and team members
- Physical ability to perform tasks that may involve heavy lifting or restraining animals
- Certification in pet grooming is a plus
- Familiarity with animal behavior, training, or veterinary practices is advantageous
