Impact Converting & Systems Solutions is Hiring a CNC Lathe Operator - 2nd Shift Near Williamston, MI
The principle responsibilities of the Lathe Machinist include but are not limited to the following:
- Inspect incoming work for dimensional integrity and match the print to the material dimensions.
- Operates a Mazak, Nexus CNC lathe to meet specific time and quality requirements.
- Operates a manual lathe to meet specific time and quality requirements.
- Operates a manual mill to meet specific time and quality requirements.
- Operates a drill press to meet specific time and quality requirements.
- Operates a horizontal band saw to meet specific time and quality requirements.
- Sharpens drills and builds specialty tools in a timely manner.
- Sets up and turns rolls that require a steady rest.
- Performs deep route and other grooving applications.
- Performs deep boring applications on hard and soft materials.
- Threads rolls when specified.
- Performs preventative maintenance on department equipment and notify supervision of nonroutine maintenance needs.
- Maintains materials inventory for department and notify supervision of material needs in a timely manner.
- Completes all paperwork legibly and accurately.
- Work cooperatively with co-workers and supervisors. This includes assisting and training personnel when necessary.
- Submits ideas for changing methods, processes, and procedures that will enable the company to function in a more profitable manner.
