Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Dental Hygienist to join our team. As a Dental Hygienist, you will play a crucial role in providing quality dental care to our patients. Your primary responsibilities will include performing dental cleanings, educating patients on oral hygiene practices, and assisting the dentist during procedures. Duties: - Perform dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing teeth - Take and develop dental x-rays - Conduct oral cancer screenings - Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices - Assist the dentist during procedures, such as fillings and extractions - Administer local anesthesia as needed - Perform periodontal charting and document findings - Maintain accurate patient records and update medical documentation in electronic health record systems (Epic, Dentrix) - Ensure infection control protocols are followed at all times - Collaborate with the dental team to provide comprehensive patient care Requirements: - Valid Dental Hygiene license in [STATE] - Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Dental Hygiene from an accredited program - Proven experience as a Dental Hygienist - Proficiency in dental assisting techniques and procedures - Knowledge of dental software systems (Dentrix, Epic) for patient management and medical coding purposes - Strong communication and interpersonal skills - Excellent attention to detail and ability to multitask - Ability to perform patient assessments, including vital signs monitoring and medical history review We offer competitive compensation and benefits packages, including medical insurance, retirement plans, and paid time off. Pay: $49.50 - $52.00 per hour
