$5000 Sign On Bonus

Ivy Creek Home Health of Lake Martin is looking to hire a full time RN for the Opelika Area.

Pay is $27-$35/hr DOE

Qualifications:

1. Graduate of accredited nursing program.

2. Licensed RN in the State of Alabama.

3. One (1) year clinical experience in nursing or completion of Agency preceptor program.

4. Ability to travel in order to accomplish all duties as outlined in job description.

5. Professional appearance and conduct.

6. Must possess strong communication, organizational, and presentation skills.

7. Able to receive direction and independently follow tasks through with minimal supervision.

8. Ability to access and operate computer systems, including creation of documents, entering data, reading reports, email, etc

9. Detail oriented, able to multi-task, and remain flexible with assignments

10. Maintains professional integrity throughout performance of all job duties.

11. Able to adhere to the practice of confidentiality regarding patients, families, staff and the agency

12. Able to act in a kind, decent, respectful manner at all times.

13. Must be able to recognize, support and adhere to all Lake Martin Hospital/Home Health policies and procedures.

14. Able to consistently uphold attendance standards

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBLITIES:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

  • Documenting signing up and training of consumers/attendants;
  • Plans of care when needed;
  • Calendars if necessary;
  • An on call schedule monthly;
  • Reporting all changes of Consumer/Attendant;
  • Monitor progress notes and timesheets for completion before giving to the FI Manager;
  • Site visits and monthly calls;
  • Ensure all appropriate paperwork to the program in which the consumer is assigned is completed correctly and timely;
  • Mediation between the Consumer and Attendant if problems arise. Work wisely and judiciously to do your best effort in problem solving. If you cannot solve or mediate between the two parties, notify the FI Manager and she will intervene to assist in solving the dispute. The majority of problems are expected to be solved at this level. The next level of action, if needed, would come from the Executive Director with Board Advice as to a final decision;
  • Know your Consumers and Attendants;
  • Communicate often with your Manager. You are responsible for your community of Consumers and Attendants that you are assisting; use the knowledge and experience of Mickey when you need assistance;
  • Next in communication is with the Office Manage who is responsible for all the timesheets and getting the hours correctly entered for Medicaid and Payroll. Failure to communicate, both orally and with your reporting can cause big problems.
  • Finally, communicate with the Manager, Office Manager, Financial Manager, and the Executive Director specifically concerning the programs and make recommendations about program problems, needs, and future planning.
  • Perform other duties as assigned for the operational and financial well-being of the organization.

MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

· Ability to communicate and understand and carry out detailed oral and written instructions.

· Must be organized and detail oriented.

· Ability to walk and stand frequently.

· Interpersonal skills required to instruct patients and their families, as well as, professional interaction with a variety of hospital/professional personnel.

· Knowledge of patient rights and responsibilities.

· Knowledge of Lake Martin Home Health services and availability.

· Knowledge of hospital/home health policies and procedures, fire, safety, disaster plans and infection control policies.

Pay: $27.00 - $35.00 per hour
