Headache & Pain Center, AMC is Hiring an Interventional Pain Management Physician Near Houma, LA

We are currently seeking a motivated and compassionate Interventional Pain Management Physician (M.D. or D.O.) to join our well established and growing practice. Practice and Surgery Center buy in is an option after 1 year. This provider must be a Board Certified (or Board Eligible), fellowship trained Interventional Pain Management Physician comfortable performing fluoroscopy guided procedures in the cervical, thoracic, and lumbar spine, as well as, being well versed in epidural steroid injections, facet joint interventions, including RFA, spinal cord stimulation trials, and sympathetic nerve blocks. The Physician will treat both acute and chronic pain patients with multiple interventional methodologies. They should also be comfortable with the evaluation and clinical management of patients.

Job Location: Gray, Louisiana & New Iberia, Louisiana

Our diagnostic testing services and trained providers help to identify the source of pain or discomfort. Comprehensive care is then continued through interventional pain management procedures, along with a personalized plan to address and help heal a wide variety of common and unique conditions. We are here for patients on their journey to achieve optimal health!

Position Requirements:

  • Must be a graduate of an accredited M.D. or D.O. program with a fellowship in Pain Medicine/Management.
  • Must have or be able to obtain a Louisiana Medical License and DEA License.
  • Evaluate, diagnose, and develop personalized treatment plans for patients experiencing acute and chronic pain.
  • Prescribe, administer and manage medications and interventions as needed, while monitoring for effectiveness and potential side effects.
  • Perform interventional procedures, such as nerve blocks, spinal injections, and implanted devices, in accordance with best practices and clinical guidelines.
  • Educate patients and their families on pain management strategies including selfcare techniques, coping mechanisms, and lifestyle modifications.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records, including documentation of patient evaluations, diagnoses, treatment plans, and progress notes.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to optimize patient care and contribute to the ongoing improvement of our pain management program.
  • Demonstrated commitment to patient-centered care and ongoing professional development.

We are a single specialty private practice in Gray and New Iberia, Louisiana. We hone our skills in pain medicine and dive deep in learning more to continually provide our patients with the best possible treatments and outcomes. We have invested in our facilities to provide our physicians and our patients with the best environment, with onsite X-Ray and Open MRI for imaging, and we have an in house outpatient Operating Room, Anesthesia, and nursing staff in both Gray and New Iberia locations. We are 100% physician owned private practice open Monday - Friday. Practice and Surgery Center buy in is an option after 1 year.
