We are looking for happy, loving, energetic assistant teachers for our Summer program. Applicants must be energetic, creative, and enjoy working with children. Our teachers spend time outside, actively supervise children, and plan as well as implement fun activities for the children in his or her care.

This position runs from June 3 - August 23.

Our Summer Staff will be responsible for supervising activities in which children can have fun, make friends and learn new skills. In addition, they will:

• Ensure the health, safety and well-being of participants in the program, by providing appropriate supervision at all times; especially during field trips and swimming pool days.
• Assist and interact with children during summer program activities and games.
• Work cooperatively with program and school staff.
• Promote an inclusive, welcoming, and respectful environment that embraces the diversity of all participants.
• Serve as a positive role model for participants.
• Maintain accurate program documentation (attendance, sign in/out forms, behavior/incident/accident reports, as appropriate).
• Develop and maintain positive relationships with parents and guardians through regular communication about their child’s strengths and areas of growth.
• Adhere to all DHS, Keystone STARS and our center’s standards, expectations, and regulations.

A high school diploma and 2500 hours experience with children is a must! Clearances, health assessment/TB will be necessary before employment if not already obtained.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $12.00 - $15.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 – 40 per week
