Responsibilities
Home Health Nurses (SN) administer skilled care during home visits to clients who require intermittent professional services and provide teaching to clients, family, and other members of the health care team. Nursing services are performed in accordance with the physician’s or non-physician practitioner’s orders and the established plan of care under the direction and supervision of our nursing director. Nursing responsibilities may include:

• Services requiring substantial and specialized nursing skill including IV therapy and wound care.
• Evaluation/re-evaluation of the nursing needs of the client to initiate, develop, implement, and revise the client’s plan of care.
• Initiation of ordered diagnostic, preventive, and rehabilitative nursing procedures as appropriate to the client’s care and safety.
• Observing, recording, and reporting the client’s reaction to treatment and any change in the client’s condition to members of the healthcare team.
• Teaching, supervision, and counseling the client and family regarding home nursing procedures and other care needs as appropriate to the client’s condition.

Qualifications*
1. Must hold a current and unencumbered Nursing License in Virginia (or a multi-state license that includes Virginia).
2. Must be organized, detail-oriented, and possess effective communication skills both orally and in writing.
3. SN must understand the issues related to the delivery of home health care and be able to problem-solve effectively.
4. Ability to assume a flexible work schedule including on-call rotation.
5. Must have a current driver's license and automobile insurance.
6. Must have a minimum of one year nursing experience.
7. Must have current CPR certification.
8. Home Health experience is strongly preferred.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $1,500.00 - $2,100.00 per week

Expected hours: 25 – 35 per week
