Direct Support Professional (Full time and Part time)

HBD is looking for qualified and caring Direct Support Professionals to join our team! We offer services to adults and teens with intensive behavior challenges and intellectual disabilities. This role will be based out of our Pompano Beach location. For consideration, you must submit an application along with your resume

Responsibilities:

• Supervision and support to ensure health and safety
• Skill training and support in daily living activities
• Community integration
• Behavioral interventions and implementation
• Assist individuals on medical appointments
• Medication dispensing

Requirements:

• A minimum of one year of experience providing direct services in a medical, psychiatric, nursing, childcare setting or working with persons who have developmental disabilities required
• High school diploma/GED required
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds; be able to push, pull, reach, bend, and squat
• Previous experience working with intensive behavior clients is a plus
• Strong verbal and written communication skills a must
• Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) a plus but company is willing to train for certification
• Bilingual (Spanish, Creole) a plus
