Position Overview: Responsible for the implementation of after-school activities to groups of students. Provide supervision and guidance to students in the after-school program. What Success Looks Like: Responsibilities include the following:
Provide instruction to groups of 10/20 students
Responsible for overall supervision of students in an assigned group
Provide daily supervision and guidance to students
Provide students with a safe, nurturing and socially stimulating environment daily
Contribute to program planning
Developing and implementing lesson plans
Maintaining classroom records
Maintaining program space
Monitor individual student goals
Communicating with parents
Develop special projects
Provide crisis intervention as necessary
Participate in staff development as necessary
Our Ideal Candidate (Qualifications):
You have a High School Diploma
You have an Associate or Bachelor's Degree in a related field preferred.
You have completed 9 to 18 months experience working with school-age children in a recreation, fine arts, camping or academic setting.
You have excellent communication skills with diverse populations: both written and verbal are required.
You have demonstrated strong organizational, analytical, and interpersonal skills;
You exercise good judgment and make sound decisions.
