Responsible for performing QC Laboratory physical testing of bulk, raw material and finished good cosmetics and drug products according to specified test methods. Assist Chemist / Senior Chemist for analytical and physical testing. Cleaning glassware, filing documents and support QC and assist in production when needed. lab.

Essential duties and responsibilities

• Prepares chain of custody and shipping documentation for raw material, bulk and finished goods samples sent to outsource laboratories for analysis.
• Maintain and calibrate quality control equipment and glassware.
• Sample raw material using aseptic techniques.
• Perform physical testing for bulk, finished goods, and raw material following established methodology.
• Recording observations, measurements, and test data.
• Reporting results and findings to leaders.
• Evaluating data and identifying areas for improvement.
• Assist with receiving and inspecting raw materials, bulks finished goods.
• Prepare equipment and materials for testing.
• Help identify products and processes that do not meet standards.
• Collects daily samples from the manufacturing purified water system points of use for microbiological testing.
• Catalogs and organizes raw material and in-process bulk retain samples for efficient retrieval.
• Responsible for Assist the QC Lab by cleaning glassware, remove waste and filing paperwork in the QC lab.
• Strong attention to detail, very organized with the ability to prioritize and multi-task requests.
• Highly collaborative with the ability to work as with a team in a cross-functional team.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to work flexible hours (10hrs) and weekends as needed.

Qualification requirements

• Recommend three-year experience preferred in the personal care/cosmetic industry.
• Hight school Diploma or related science degree preferred.
• Familiar with cGMP, laboratory equipment, GLP (good Laboratory practices) and lab safety procedures.
• Preferred knowledge of analytical instrument including Viscosity, pH, SPG, FTIR, Melting Point preferable.
• Required to work in a laboratory setting around chemicals with proper PPE and to sit and stand for long periods of time.
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft programs (Excell, Word, Outlook…)
• Strong communications skills to share compliance or quality concerns.
