40- 50 hours per week, reasonable overtime may be required. Typical schedule Monday – Friday however hours may vary

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

The person in this role will take ownership of the day to day running of one or more SAFF® units that are deployed in the field, ensuring that:

• Throughput targets are met.

• Machines are running and treating optimally.

• Discharge limits are met.

• Downtime is minimized.

• Our clients are satisfied.

To meet these objectives, activities will include but are not limited to:

• Regular monitoring of systems to ensure proper performance.

• Cleaning and maintenance on SAFF® units in the field.

• Diagnosis and troubleshooting any issues that arise with SAFF® units, repairing and replacing parts as needed.

• Communicating with members of the team giving regular progress updates.

• Communicating with clients on site, working with them to plan operational activities and keeping them updated.

• Prepare and submit reports on all onsite activities, changes to parameters/settings expenses, work hours, etc.

• Collect samples and send for testing in accordance with proper sampling procedure.

• Decant and dispose of hazardous waste in compliance with all safety procedures and local regulations.

• Follow safe working procedures and all site safety protocols.

• Prepare and submit reports on all onsite activities, expenses, work hours, etc.

• Assist with technical planning for all commissioning, repair, and maintenance projects.

Qualifications/Experience:

• Preferred 3 years of experience in a hands-on technician role.

• Experience with industrial plumbing systems or working in a water treatment plant a plus.

• Valid Driver’s License required.

Abilities:

• Self-starter: takes initiative and ownership of work.

• Good communicator (written and verbal). Able to report back and explain problems clearly and concisely, asks for help as required.

• Strong mechanical aptitude. Intuitively able to deduce how things work and understand complex systems.

• Strong problem-solving skills.

• Able to be present on site as needed to carry out duties.

• Understands and can follow OSHA safety regulations and procedures.

• Gilrose will provide all necessary trainings to make the right person successful in this role.

The Gilrose team is seeking a SAFF® Operator to join a cutting-edge PFAS remediation operation based in the Flint Michigan area. The operator will be deployed onto client sites with a SAFF® unit/units (containerized water treatment plants) to ensure the smooth running of the machines and carry out troubleshooting and maintenance as required. The operator will work as part of a team dedicated to keeping a fleet of SAFF® units mobilized and treating for our clients.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $22.00 - $24.69 per hour

Expected hours: 40 – 50 per week
