Hammond's Candies are currently looking for a full time Maintenance Technician with 5-10 years’ experience in a food manufacturing environment. Their primary role is to maintain and support the reliability of manufacturing equipment and process, through the execution of preventive and predictive maintenance techniques. Follow the companies GMP’s (Good Manufacturing Practices) and SQF (Safe Quality Food) Guidelines.

The Maintenance Technician will maintain production and packaging equipment, high speed stoves, motors, pumps, conveyors, printers, facility equipment, fixtures, and general facilities maintenance..

Perform basic PM’s, troubleshooting and repairs on Automated, Mechanical, Pneumatic, Electrical Equipment and Controls of ac/dc electrical (up to 480-volt 3 phase).

Document W/O’s and PM’s Fabricate parts if needed

Coordinates outside work done by vendors, monitors vendors work and communicates with leads the work being scheduled that might affect production.

Assists in keeping proper inventory of parts on hand

Performs other duties as required or assigned.

Shift 8:00 am- 4:30 pm

Requirements:

Must be 18 years of age

Must be authorized to work in the US

High school diploma or equivalent

Basic computer skills

Self-Motivated, Attention to detail

Effective verbal and written communication skills, Bilingual a plus

Able to work overtime when needed

Have your own hand tools

Background check

Physical Demands:

Must be able to lift 50 lbs.

Regularly required to work around operating equipment, Stand, reach, stoop, crawl, and bend. Repetitive use of hands and wrists.

Stand on ladders and work at elevated heights.
