Summary:

Gospel Community Church is seeking to fill the role of Communications Director. The Communications Director supports the mission and vision of Gospel Community Church (GCC) by providing oversight and leadership of our internal and external communications at all locations of GCC. This role will serve as a central team member.

Qualifications:

• Exemplary written and verbal communication skills.
• Two or more years of experience working within communications, marketing, and/or church environment.
• A degree in Strategic Communications, Marketing, or a related field is preferred.
• Working and developing knowledge of communications industry best-practices as well as church-specific strategy.
• Graphic design experience (Adobe Creative Suite & Canva)
• Proven track record in leadership development, team leadership, and collaboration.
• Proven project management skills with the ability to lead multiple projects at a time across diverse teams.
• Photography/ videography, and photo/video editing experience (Adobe Lightroom, Photoshop, & Premiere Pro)
• Attention to detail.
• Experience working with Subsplash/Web design software, MailChimp, & Google Suite is preferred
• Proficiency in utilizing Planning Center Online

Responsibilities:

Oversee overall communications strategy and calendar of Gospel Community Church including:

• Create clear internal and external communication by developing and executing multi-channel communications strategies
• Design all digital and print materials for both internal & external communications such as devotional books, branding packages for sermon series, event graphics, newsletters, cards, and signage.
• Create photo, video, graphics, and written content for social media and digital platforms
• Manage all social media accounts (including developing social media strategies, content calendars, answering messages, and monitoring analytics) on Instagram, Facebook, and Threads
• Manage our website and app including designing web pages and app content that focuses on maximizing SEO and user engagement
• Plan, shoot, and edit videos such as weekly announcement videos, testimony videos, bumper videos, and promotional videos
• Ensure consistent branding across all communications platforms and design logos and brand kits for ministries
• Make sure all announcements and other Sunday morning communications efforts and materials are implemented on time, including a video of all pre-service announcements
• Organize all digital content through Smugmug and Vimeo and manage all communications equipment.
• Oversee the development and mobilization (project management) of a communications team including paid staff, unpaid staff, and volunteers in the following areas: Graphic Design, Photography/Videography (working in conjunction with Production Team), Copy writing/editing, Social media content development, Web design/development
• Maintain consistent communication and collaboration with ministry leaders and develop successful campaigns for their ministry needs (giving campaigns, food drives, global missions trips, etc.)
• Oversee the creation of Annual Impact Report.
• Manage the operational budget for the Communications department
